The Battle of Bai Di Castle (白帝城の戦い) is a fictional battle taking place in Shu. Led by the futile and weak Liu Chan, the battle represents the next generation taking over. Both Jiang Wei and Xing Cai find themselves taking over the duties of leading Shu.
Historically, this was the location where Liu Bei passed away after his defeat in Yiling. In the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Shu's escape was only successful due to a stone sentinal maze that Zhuge Liang erected well in advance.

The key officers for the Shu forces include Liu Chan, Xing Cai, Jiang Wei and Huang Zhong. Each officer guards a certain entrance to Bai Di Castle, where Liu Chan is positioned, and if they are defeated, an entrance is left wide open for the Wu forces. Thus, the battle recquires much traveling around to protect each area. Wu sets up a decoy camp in the battle, so when you approach the opposing main officers' positions suddenly switch. In the event Shu gains the upper hand, Yue Ying will appear with reinforcements.
